And WTF is AGATT? I saw lots of organ donors* while riding in Pennsylvania. *riders without helmets” 7:11:10 AM 6/30/09 “I saw one motorcycle accident on a ride and the dude was tricked out in all the protective gear, but he died anyway. Still, wearing a helmet is just the smart thing to do.” 7:35:36 AM 6/30/09 “The term now for the bozos who wear nothing while motoing is "squids." Cool on ya, Marko! Just in time for the prime riding season. Did you rebuild it or just change the fluids and plugs and fire it up? Direct drive is the way to go.” 7:42:03 AM 6/30/09 “It needed tune up, front brake(res.& line & pads), header pipes, mufflers, tires, tubes, fuel lines.........(stay tuned) I'm changing the bar to a Euro type(lower, shorter pull-back) and installing a plastic bullet fairing. This bike handles very nice with the low center of gravity. When I ran out of gas the reserve function did not work. I discovered that the gas cap gasket was in at least three pieces and I think a piece settled in the lowest part of the tank blocking the reserve port. It was pretty much a just change the fluids and plugs and fire it up. Tires are AVON Road Riders, V-rated(150 mph). It tops out at 108 mph...............a little overkill. last edited: 6/30/09 8:15:13 AM” 8:27:52 AM 6/30/09 “108? Test it yet?:) I can do that in the mountains.” 11:43:33 AM 6/30/09 “I can do 100 in first gear.” 4:09:15 PM 6/30/09 “Good bike, hey Marko what do you tell some kid looking at the choice betwen a standard road bike and a Damn Crotch Rocket? One of my friend's sons is dying to get a Donor Bike and we are trying to talk him into just getting a regular bike.” 11:39:24 AM 7/01/09 “Very nice ride. Cool that you got your old bike back.” 12:10:08 PM 7/01/09 “Tell him to get one of these : ![]() last edited: 7/01/09 12:00:58 PM” 12:13:53 PM 7/01/09 “Swampy, you and your kind of riders ain't normal! The R65 actually tops out at 175........KPH. That is according to the specifications and I suppose that is red line. A motorcycle like that is not very stable above 100 and that is the nature of the beast. Duane, you hike that fast? The tires are overkill, not the top speed.” 12:19:25 PM 7/01/09 “Suhweet, MarkO! I luvs me airheads. :) This Airhead is currently residing in our garage. Unfortunately, I don't ride her.... yet. '76 R90 nicknamed Leakie: ![]() last edited: 7/01/09 3:23:46 PM” 3:37:03 PM 7/01/09 “MarkO, I meant where I live, I can get my CBR600 up there in a short distance, not out in the flats or valley where you would think I would be trying for speed. I figure there were fewer cops up around the lake. A local deacon? got caught on his crotch rocket doing over 115, big ticket.” 7:05:23 PM 7/01/09 “When I was younger I had a bike (Honda 1100 V-65 Magna, with a few modifications) that would go 0-60 in less than 3 seconds, and I had it up to 155mph. Once I had it 135 with my wife on the back. Now I have a bike that may top out at 115 if I am going downhill with a tail-wind. I look back at some of the things I did when I was younger and "invincible" and wonder how I am still alive.” 7:17:52 PM 7/01/09 “Hi MsD! Swampy - You have a 'Busa , no? This is my latest toy. Shes fun. I cant wait to go riding with MarkO. ”7:43:48 PM 7/01/09 “Hi Jackstraw! I've decided I like the Buell's. They're pretty! But, I'd kill myself on one. LOL!” 7:52:31 PM 7/01/09 “LOL ! no you wouldnt MsBackcountryadventurebiking. they only go as fast as you make 'em. that being said, there is a reason they call it the Lightning. : )” 8:30:33 PM 7/01/09 “One of my friend's sons is dying to get a Donor Bike and we are trying to talk him into just getting a regular bike.” theXL400 2:39:24 PM 7/01/09 Buell 900 City. Awesome 2 up v twin. You can find them reasonable used.” 8:33:02 PM 7/01/09 “This is my ride. ”8:37:05 PM 7/01/09 “That's nice Mizz D! I like the pea-shooter "silencers". They are a peculiar kind of ride......a completely unique experience.” 4:27:10 AM 7/02/09 “Nice, wildbill. I need to stick to your backside for another ride soon.” 4:44:26 AM 7/02/09 “Hey jackstraw, we are going to have to talk about mc's in AK.” 6:00:41 AM 7/02/09 “no doubt! the lightning is such a sleeper. you'd never know its got 106hp on tap unless you got into it. its an engineering marvel IMHO.” 7:45:45 AM 7/02/09 “mildbill- I currently have an 84 Honda VF700 Sabre V45. the smaller version of the big Magna. Love the bike, lots of power. I can only imagine what the 1100 was like!” 8:13:31 AM 7/02/09 “And WTF is AGATT? ATGATT All The Gear, All The Time. ;) p.s.~ If you're looking to do any restoration or work on it, check out this forum on ADVrider.com http://www.advrider.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=35” 11:19:01 AM 7/02/09 “jackstraw, I have never checked out the Buell's, I could get financing deals thru work that are ridiculous, but I need other things worse than a new/newer bike.” 11:38:29 AM 7/02/09 Airheads! “I thought you meant: ![]() or perhaps ”11:58:33 AM 7/02/09 “Thanks Mizz D, I GOOGLED ATGATT........freakin' acronym world! Jackstraw, I would like to give than beast a whirl.” 12:08:45 PM 7/02/09 “ ![]() ”1:31:16 PM 7/02/09 ““mildbill- I currently have an 84 Honda VF700 Sabre V45. the smaller version of the big Magna. Love the bike, lots of power. I can only imagine what the 1100 was like!” I started with the V-45 Sabre. I rode it for a few years, then traded it in for the 1100 Magna. I would like to find another V-45 to toy around with. ![]() last edited: 7/02/09 7:55:18 PM” 8:04:06 PM 7/02/09 “All you bikers might enjoy this movie: The Fastest Indian in the World. Well worth the watch.” 10:06:20 PM 7/02/09 “I seen it multiple times. It's a great movie staring Anthony Hopkins. I think it is called The World's Fastest Indian.” 10:53:49 PM 7/02/09 “It's not a done deal until I sign the paperwork, but it looks like I am picking up this bad #&%!$ Saturday. 113 cubic inch powerplant, Yamaha Raider ”12:07:26 PM 1/25/11 “sweeeeet!” 12:24:01 PM 1/25/11 “Don't forget to wear a helmet. I'd hate to see ya an organ donor.” 12:29:40 PM 1/25/11 “Nice. I didn't know you were a rider chili” 12:29:58 PM 1/25/11 “Cool! Not my style but I am all about more bikes on the road. If you haven't ridden in a while, I highly recommend a moto safety course.” 12:33:13 PM 1/25/11 “Its been a couple years since I've ridden a bike but I have ridden since I was 14. If I don't take a course you can bet I will take it pretty easy until I feel comfortable with the blke (not that I would get stupid or crazy after that) She is lean and sexy but 1854 cc is certainly a beast if you let it get away from you I looked long and hard but I got a deal on a 2009 model (never titled, 1 mile on it) that I just couldn't say no to. Well I haven't been able to say no yet and there is still time I was looking for a 1300 cc bike and this is more than I planned on but hey, I am a big boy!” 12:51:47 PM 1/25/11 “That's a nice donorcycle. Enjoy!” 12:53:46 PM 1/25/11 “That thing's engine is bigger than the one that was in my 1982 Chevy Chevette. (1600cc) Do be careful!” 1:12:52 PM 1/25/11 “No offense, but I just saw the coolest bike yet last night: ”1:39:50 PM 1/25/11 “I might ride my bike to Trail Days this year. It will depend on the weather forecast.” 1:46:44 PM 1/25/11 “that is a nice lookin bike chili. It'll be fun to ride. Que - that one you posted looks more like a showroom piece!” 2:26:59 PM 1/25/11 “RA - It's a custom model from the folks at Paul Jr. Designs ... from the American Chopper lore.” 3:10:35 PM 1/25/11 “I have always thought Paul Jr was the design guru.” 3:58:38 PM 1/25/11 “that explains a lot. looks like a super nice ride.” 4:52:37 PM 1/25/11 “I'm iced in, just rotate toys with the change of the seasons and siphon gas from one to the other. Due to icy roads, the CBR gets the oil changed in Nov. and uncovered in late April or early May and ridden again.” 5:50:26 PM 1/25/11 “I picked the bike up today. It is 113 cubic inches of Raw Attitude. I took it easy on the 200 mile ride home, but there is no doubt this bike will stretch out and go places.” 5:05:03 PM 1/29/11
