So, although I love this tent since others help me haul my winter gear I must get something lighter which is, of course, more expensive. This tent offers an incredible amound of venting choices. There are 2 material covered mesh windows at the top...the mesh can be unzipped so you can put your hand out and touch the fly...this can really improving the venting...I have never had condensation in this tent. The headroom is impressive (42 inches) and both doors are roomy.

Here's the best picture I can find to show all the mesh panels:

I have used it 3 times so you can't say it's been overused...I would like to get $150 for it which would include shipping. Here's a picture of it being used last week-end:

I hope someone wants this tent...the price is pretty good...email me if you're interested...thanks for helping me help the backs of others

It's a solid tent, having set it up once and seen it in action. MHH,check out the trip page. I think you'd be interested in the Kettle trip.

They are pretty much bomb proof. Great price too!

Whoo-hoo! SOLD! I think the tent is sold to someone on the otherside...until the check clears one cannot be sure...it was a great price...I got a good deal when I bought it so I passed it on...

Now I don't feel so guilty about buying my NEW 4-season tent yesterday:

It weighs only a little more than 5 pounds...it probably won't feel as bombproof as the Kelty...you couldn't tell there was a strong wind blowing outside once inside THAT tent but, at least it will be lighter and pack smaller...

I've been drooling over the MH Spire for a while (hmm, do I mean the Mountain Hardwear or the Matahari?!?). Let me know how you like it. :)

Well, there are some lighter 4-season jobs but the prices give me a nosebleed!

Little steep for my budget, considering I pay less then that to live in my house for a month. If it came with the flags...

Good for you Mata! : )

Believe me, I am not wealthy...that's why it was kinda important to sell my Radiant...I'm using Christmas present $$$ and I bought it at REI using an REI credit card to at least get it on my dividend for this year...that adds a bit of savings even if I can't collect until next year...that's about $85 toward my dividend...so, let's see...$150 for my Radiant, $85 rebate...that means the MH will cost $190...now bad when you look at it that way

You know Mata, the way I look at it is sometimes you just have to do something for you! I've heard a few comments about my hobbies being "expensive" for a single Mom. I figured my sanity is worth it. It's what I do for me. Here in the northwoods, no one would make a peep if I spent my weekends at the bar, and that costs plenty!

That's what I tell Bill when he mumbles about all the money I spend on gear...I save a lot of money by not hanging out in bars which, as you said, is the local pastime for most around here and is really pricey...plus, I find the converstion of drunks in a smoky bar less interesting the the conversation of drunks AROUND a smoky fire...LOL...
