“The drive home was slightly better than there due to light traffic. Everyone was home watching the Bears win I guess.

Had a wonderful time 'specially on THE Rough trail! Hope you all had a safe trip home.

Yet another trip with great company, great campfires and great hiking.”

“HOW DID YOU BEAT US?! We made it home about 1/2 an hour ago.
29 cars in ditches, 8 had emergency workers on scene. It was a tight knuckle drive.”

“OMG - There were cars littering the ditches on 65 also but they had been there a while. I was between 70 and 80 all the way until downtown Chicago. Snowing, sleeting but not bad.

The system must have moved slowly and hit you on 75 as you were driving. I'm glad you made it safely!”

“I remember living in Denver, I would count the skidmarks in the snow on the way to work, and note which ones still had vehicles at the end of them.”

“Hi Everyone,

The temp was around 30F when I left the RRG area. As I drove south the temp inched up little by little. When I pulled into the driveway at home it was a balmy 46F.

I just put away all my gear and threw the dirty stuff in the clothes washer. Now maybe I can sit down and relax for a while.

I had a great time!”

“You're good. I was beat with driving through the mildly cruddy weather. Having today off I'll put away this morning.

Fun driving North and having sparkly ice cover turn to snowy white cover.

Glad to see you post, have you heard from my new "Urban Sherpa's" to know that they got back ok?”

“Did it snow down there?”

“There was freezing rain starting at about 3am Sunday morning. Otherwise the weather was glorious.”

“How did ya like the RRG? Does it compare to Sipsy?”

“It reminds me of Sipsey meets Savage Gulf. It's lots more open than Sipsey and doesn't have as many falls. OTOH, it has the cliffs that are more like Savage and the boulders are much larger on average. I really liked it.”
