This exhibit has hit Detroit. I wanted to go and see it when it was in Chicago but never managed. Have any of you guys from that area (or anywhere else) seen it? Our science center is recommending that it's for kids over 13 and I'm wondering why. If it's simply because of the dead people parts it's no big deal. I don't think Abby will get creeped out by it as I have models and anatomy stuff all over my home office.

How was it and is it worth the $25 each to get in? Looks darn cool to me, (aside from the whole part of the bodies being from a prison camp thing).

I remember getting totally creeped out at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago where they showed fetal development with actual fetus's all the way to birth size. I almost vomited.

It is extraordinarily graphic from stills I have seen. But I think it sounds fascinating

I want to go see it as well. It is back in Chicago now (or will be any day now). I have not seen it myself, but I have heard that it is worth the admission. Not sure about the kid thing. I kind of figured I could bring both my boys for the same reason. Luke (6) is game; Tucker (12) not so much.

well, I showed her the picture of the one guy. She looked at it, said it was fine, looked at my clay model, heard me tell her it was a real person who died, said it was kinda weird and how did they make him stand up still, but she'd rather stay home and play, lol.

So I guess Birch and I can have a date to the Science center.

My step son was blown away by it and went to see it a second time. It cost about 10 dollars for him though because we have family membership in our museum of science.

There is a scene from the new James Bond movie from when the exhibit was in Florida. I missed out on the exhibit itself, so the movie is as close as I got.

It's the same exhibit AmyG. Our science center just chose to leave off the "Body Worlds" part and went right to Our Bodies: the Universe Within.

Bearmag, awesome film!
