“It's suppose to get a little warmer by the time this trip comes around. Highs in the 30's, lows 20's. Look out, a warm front is coming. lol. I just want to get out and hike. I'm hoping to get a day hike in on Saturday or Sunday.

“We are going to hike the Sycamore loop at Charles Deam wilderness, if anyone else wants to join us. We should be meeting up sometime around 8:30AM at the trail head. We can change the time if need be.

“Did this trail New Years Day and 2nd about 2 or 3 years ago with Trekkngirl. Not a terribly tough trail but Ok nonetheless. Nice little 12 mile trail.
Found a cool campsite beside one of the lakes we had to hike down to. Started raining about 7 pm. Around 5 am, still dark, rain pouring down all night and a drainage culvert not far away getting louder and louder, I looked outside the tent and noticed that the lake was now about 2' from the tent. Our cooksite the previous evening was now under water.
T-girl and I packed all our wet stuff (I was still carrying sweatshirts and pants back then) and took off up the trail in the dark.
Had to cross two rain swollen, normally probably knee deep streams, now waist deep and friggin' cold. You could hear the water roaring before you got to the crossing.
All in all, a pretty cool adventure.”

“meet at 10 am. go to the first parking lot after the pay/ranger station. theres a small fee, around $4, i believe. the lot is on the left, about a half mile after the ranger station. we might not necessarily start hiking here, but since there are 5 different trailheads, i thought it would be easiest just to meet here. there are a variety of ways to hike this, but not alot of established campsites. one site i know of is really nice and roomy, and near water. thats where i would like to stay the night. hike out sunday morn
