What's the story about this place?
I realize the hut is long gone, but was it in the cave or against the rock face?”

“We couldn't decide. I felt like since the fence extended so far out that it must be protecting debris that was buried from an old hut of some sorts.”

“I thought I read about this somewhere. Years ago didn't they find a piece of old wood that said "Daniel Boone" (only I think it was misspelled) that was presumed to be the remains of his shack or hut? I always thought it was behind the chain link. And then there are mining scraps left there as well from the Civil War era.”

thats the way I read it, its not overly legible, I may be only one of 2 people who have ever noticed it. i've told others and they do not believe me.”
