Hello; I am looking for a new backpack. I have used an external EMS for my 75-125 miles on the LT and AT each year. My present EMS pack is 8lbs+......ouch! I'm getting old. Who makes a good 24" torso 4000cu inch pack? Any thoughts on the Jansport Endeavor 8000?
Thanks
Wood Chuck

Hey Windi: Thanks for the tip. ULA seems to have the answer. Do you have experience with their products? They also has a good pack fitting graphic for SWEETPEA.
Thanks

I don't have any of there products, but I know many people have been very happy with their backs from ULA. Especially tall people. I have been told that Brian, the owner, is a good guy to do business with.

'stu - torso length is the distance from your C7 vertebrae to your hip line - to measure establish the line of your hip bone tops where the spine is located and then measure along the spine up from that line to the bump at the base of your neck

Measure from the waist(not hip-huggers) to the C7.......the bump at the base of the neck.

http://www.granitegear.com/pulldownnav/sizefit/torsolength/index.html This link will tell you how to measure your torso length. It says pretty much what MarkO said.

Correction-It says here that the long torso packs fit to 25",gives you a bit of a tolorance.
