It's been a while...Photos from the West .

“Hello everyone! I have not been around these parts in forever. Since I moved from Mississippi to West Yellowstone, Montana I have not made a post in over a year I believe.
In a few short months I will be moving back to Mississippi and I just thought I would share with you a few thousand of my memories from the mountains of the west.

I have around 3,000 photos from this summer posted on my website. There are photos from Hikes and locations in and around Yellowstone, The Beartooth's, Absoroka's, Gallitin's and Glacier and Waterton Lakes in Alberta, Canada.

“I moved out here to get out of Mississippi to do some traveling while working to save some money to get yet another college loan to go back and finish school. I am moving back in May. Wow that was a mouthfull. Thanks for the compliment on the site!

I think I have one more good trip under my sleeves before I go. I think I will take a week or so with my girlfriend to backpack Bryce, Zion, or the Grand Canyon. I really want to go to Banf but I think there will be too much snow around those parts untill after may.”

“That album on here is pretty old.
My new albums are not on this site yet. I have a few thousand photos from this summer at livedon.com in the gallery section.

That would be Beartooth Butte and Beartooth Lake. The Butte towers 1,600 feet over the lake at over 9,000 feet. It's where the Beauty lake trailhead starts.
The Butte is somtimes colored as an island of sedimentary rock in a sea of granite. It's one of the only butte's made up of those rocks in the Beartooths... along with Clay Butte (where the lookout tower is).
