New York kayaking/canoeing

“Hello all I am interested in some nice kayaking/canoeing places. I have been to the ceder river flow, Good Luck Lake and Cranberry Lake. I was looking for something 2-3 days long. thanks WIX”

“I’m not sure of the overall distance on this (it may be longer than what you are looking for), as I don’t have a map in front of me, but what about a paddle from Long Lake to Tupper Lake along Raquette River? You would have to spot cars or get picked up at the finish. The carry around Raquette Falls might be a bit of a pain with a yak; I think it’s about 2 miles.”

“Try the Hudson River Gorge but not in a canoe & have some white water experience. They take the tourists down it all the time in rafts & I collect canoe paddles there.”

you can go from upper to middle via the locks. camping all along the way. but check into it first. you might need to make reservations.
