I went with option 3.

My current employer matched firm #2's offer, which I didn't see coming. In addition to that, once I'm licensed, I have the option of buying into the business, i.e. a partnership opportunity down the road.”

“my friend Mary called me, she's the one that works at one of the high schools here. she's put in for another high school and got it. so that leaves a hole at the high school she was at, a hole only i can fill, because i am the only woman on the list. i am afraid to get my hopes up; they've been dashed before right? but tomorrow i shall call personel and make sure they remember that i am on the list for interviews.”

“so.......getting back in my field as been difficult. The difficulty being they won't let me back in. I have been on "hiatus" for 1.75ish years and I'm changing paths. I was being upfront about my past medical "issue", spinning it in a positive way, and ending up with a gut feeling that I was being hindered by my honesty. That gut feeling like a 500lb-boulder-on-the-gut feeling.

last thursday I had a preliminary interview with a contract agency. I glossed over my absence. Friday I got a nice 5cm slice in my throat for that "issue".

i just heard I might be in line for an interview with a company this week. My stitch won't be out until Monday. Regardless of the obvious scar.

I need to explain away my surgery in a not so completely lying way but in a way where they maybe don't connect all the dots.

Capice?

Any ideas?

OOPS figured it out...let me know what you want to do. As for the surgery and the preexisting....that can be thrown out for the right stuff.

“I think Creek is right....don't know the laws in your state but I am pretty Sure HIPPA will protect you from a lot of the health issues.”

“Well, I did make the mistake of saying I was on "medical leave" for a year during an interview for on of the areas biggest contractor, Aerotek. The dude brought it up twice more, "casually". Trying to dig. Never heard from them again and a vast majority of my subsequent job apps went (and go) to their organization.

Of course, this is all conjecture.

edit: and thanks. I'll not bring it up and I'll blow off my absence as " needed time off".
