I bought it to use in my kayak during open water paddles but I liked the sun protection so much I have used it backpacking too. It's a GREAT rain hat!

I saw that either last night or the night before, but I think I can safely say that the bag I have now qualifies for that range. Still looking for something warmer. Thanks for telling me though! Hey, what do you think of Mtn Hardware? Cheapie bags? It would be nice to shop within REI and build my dividend again.

Mtn Hardware fibs on both the temp ratings and weight.
