Cali is the third largest city in Colombia and is known as the City of Beautiful Women. Yes, I have been to Colombia.

When I first lived in California, I used "Calif." Later, while at sea with a California Military P.O. Box number, I used CA.

At least my heart muscles still work. Some of my muscles have ceased operations.

I've read a few of your posts about your involvement with Boy Scouts. Ihappen to be a big believer in that organization, I was the founding Scoutmaster of a Troop up here (Northern CA, GOD's country!) and later a Venturing Crew Advisor. As a result, I've accumulated a TON of gear that is sitting unused in my garage. I'd like to see it put to good use, how is your troop doing for gear? Anything you need? Send me an e with a list, I'l see what I can dig up for you!”

I don't know wanderer, our troop is pretty rich in equipment, maybe ErinAnne's Venture Crew since they are just starting out and have nothing at all. But right now Erin is the only active member, a lot of guys are in name only and she is busting butt to recruit. Last night she hit a Round Table and is making plans with various Scoutmasters to meet with their boys and talk up her Crew. I am also going to talk with her about getting to a Girl Scout Unit Meeting and doing the same thing to get some young woman involved. I was going to say this is a rich area, but then I think, if ErinAnne recruits young woman, parents generally don't have equipment for them because they haven't done anything high adventure yet. Not even all of our boys have backpacks yet, sad to say. I don't think much of parents with money who won't buy the right equipment and clothing for their kids. I've struggled for years and still somehow managed to outfit my kids properly. Although I'm bad and I still haven't bought ErinAnne's backpack yet. She's been so busy mtn bike racing every weekend I'm waiting for her to show a REAL interest before I plunk down the money.”
