boot soles

“I have found Vibram boot soles to be especially slippery when wet and/ or worn . In fact the knob system is particularly slippery as well . The more surface the better footing at least on icey /wet surfaces.
Certain that experienced hikers have figured this out long ago . When I was younger and more agile it was a small point.”

“I've never had a problem with vibram soles becoming slippery. The problem I've had is that as they wear they become water-absorbant, which makes them damned heavy in a wet hike.”

“i love the vibram sole...if they are worn out you might want to look at getting them replaced...many of the shoes/boots with vibram soles have a lifetime warranty on the soles”

“No but at times when you are walking a trail you get a weird feeling like you've hike there before. LOL!”

“Vibram worked pretty dang well for me years ago.
I pretty much just use trail runners now.”
