A Click a Day! “We all know of a few places like this, right? Where you can just click and the corporation donates either cash or inkind. Let's make a thread of the ones we know and we can click everyday while we are here. I was just sent a new one from my cousin, so I'll start. Don't laugh guys, it's a legitimate need. http://www.tampontification.com/donate.php” 3:25:04 PM 2/16/07 3:55:06 PM 2/16/07 3:59:15 PM 2/16/07 4:02:34 PM 2/16/07 4:04:03 PM 2/16/07 “Anyone have a good one I can donate an old car to?” 4:06:53 PM 2/16/07 “If you lived in SoCali, I'd say Father Joe. Check with your local churches perhaps? Or even if the high schools have a shop but no car to work on, maybe they'll fix it. Someone somewhere has need of it. Don't junk it yet.” 4:12:20 PM 2/16/07 4:13:26 PM 2/16/07 4:29:38 PM 2/16/07 “Well if no one else has anything to say or a site to add, I hope you'll at least click on all of them once. I thought it would be a neat idea since we are already here everyday.” 9:21:26 PM 2/16/07 “WK, is there a Goodwill around you? They will take your car and if I recall correctly, they'll be rather generous with the value of it on the receipt they give you for tax writeoff purposes.” 1:21:27 AM 2/17/07 “New tax laws say that you only get the auction value (what they auction your car for...if it sells), not the blue book anymore. =( I think they changed that last year.” 6:48:13 AM 2/17/07 “Wounded Knee - My daughter just donated one to this outfit. Car Donation - Donate a Car for KIDS Helping Children Build A Brighter Tomorrow” 7:04:57 AM 2/17/07 “i had an ethics teacher try to talk about how great these sites were...my arguement was if these sites are going to donate X amount per click...why not just go ahead and do the RIGHT THING and donate the max X amount without our "clicks". Greed and advertisements holding them back?” 9:10:48 AM 2/17/07 “so whats the problem, click it” 9:12:32 AM 2/17/07 “I guess I did the books for kids one wrong. Here it is again. http://www.thechildhealthsite.com/clickToGive/home.faces?siteId=6&link=ctg_lit_home_from_chs_home_sitenav Thank you everyone! :O) last edited: 2/17/07 10:51:46 AM” 10:50:37 AM 2/17/07 “Brian, have you heard the commercial that plays on all the Chicago-area radio stations? 1-8-7-7 Kars for kids K-a-r-s Kars for kids 1-8-7-7 Kars for kids Donate your car today. They sing it over and over and over. It's now in my head like 588-2300...Empire.” 10:57:35 AM 2/17/07 “Time to make corporate give again, I haven't hit these in a while. Anyone know of anymore we can add? You gotta show "ALL" to get the websites. last edited: 3/20/07 1:42:02 PM” 1:38:18 PM 3/20/07 “corporations are going to give the max allowable as a tax write off anyway... these sites are whack, and most likely make more money off selling any info they can gleen from you when you visit them.” 5:30:46 PM 3/20/07 “but they still give when i click” 5:40:44 PM 3/20/07 “click” 2:20:21 AM 3/21/07 “http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/charity/seventhgeneration.asp http://search.atomz.com/search/?sp-q=click%2C+donate%2C+charity&getit=Go&sp-a=00062d45-sp00000000&sp-advanced=1&sp-p=all&sp-w-control=1&sp-w=alike&sp-date-range=-1&sp-x=any&sp-c=100&sp-m=1&sp-s=0” 8:38:41 AM 3/21/07 “A really good multi purpose site is: http://www.goodsearch.com/ It uses the yahoo search engine and everytime you search a penny goes to your charity. Tons of charities are already registered and you can get your charity registered. I got my charity, "The Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors" registered and will start promoting it to other members in May. If you don't have a favorite charity, please consider selecting Phoenix (just enter "burn" hit verity and select the Phoenix Society). If you do have a favorite, they are probably on it and if not you can get them registered (there is a link on the left hand side).” 11:03:37 AM 3/21/07 “here's a bump for you ped” 1:30:52 AM 12/19/07 “Thanks Pamela. I forgot about this one - but they've added a shopping component. They run on ad revenue and commissions for clicks. Be sure your charity stays designated. Hey and please consider The Phoenix Society for your designated charity. last edited: 12/19/07 6:09:03 AM” 6:00:33 AM 12/19/07
