A Click a Day!
We all know of a few places like this, right? Where you can just click and the corporation donates either cash or inkind. Let's make a thread of the ones we know and we can click everyday while we are here.

I was just sent a new one from my cousin, so I'll start. Don't laugh guys, it's a legitimate need.

Anyone have a good one I can donate an old car to?

If you lived in SoCali, I'd say Father Joe. Check with your local churches perhaps? Or even if the high schools have a shop but no car to work on, maybe they'll fix it. Someone somewhere has need of it. Don't junk it yet.

Well if no one else has anything to say or a site to add, I hope you'll at least click on all of them once. I thought it would be a neat idea since we are already here everyday.

WK, is there a Goodwill around you? They will take your car and if I recall correctly, they'll be rather generous with the value of it on the receipt they give you for tax writeoff purposes.

New tax laws say that you only get the auction value (what they auction your car for...if it sells), not the blue book anymore. =( I think they changed that last year.

i had an ethics teacher try to talk about how great these sites were...my arguement was if these sites are going to donate X amount per click...why not just go ahead and do the RIGHT THING and donate the max X amount without our "clicks".

Greed and advertisements holding them back?

Brian, have you heard the commercial that plays on all the Chicago-area radio stations?

Donate your car today.

They sing it over and over and over. It's now in my head like 588-2300...Empire.

corporations are going to give the max allowable as a tax write off anyway...

these sites are whack, and most likely make more money off selling any info they can gleen from you when you visit them.

A really good multi purpose site is:

http://www.goodsearch.com/

It uses the yahoo search engine and everytime you search a penny goes to your charity. Tons of charities are already registered and you can get your charity registered.

I got my charity, "The Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors" registered and will start promoting it to other members in May. If you don't have a favorite charity, please consider selecting Phoenix (just enter "burn" hit verity and select the Phoenix Society). If you do have a favorite, they are probably on it and if not you can get them registered (there is a link on the left hand side).

Thanks Pamela.

I forgot about this one - but they've added a shopping component. They run on ad revenue and commissions for clicks. Be sure your charity stays designated.

Hey and please consider The Phoenix Society for your designated charity.
