These incidences are making it difficult for me to get out there. Everytime I go now, co-workers, family, etc., ask "Didn't you learn anything from those guys on Hood"?

I have to explain every time where I am going or what I am doing is not the same nor would I go out in those conditions.

It sounds like these guys were on the south side - the other group was on the north. The south climb is ~3 miles and a woman is reported to have climbed it in high heels. The weather is everything.

I'm planning to climb it in August, and I won't have a locator beacon.

Hi Sol
I'm still plugging around and Turk is a family man with a little boy. Don't see him much, as he is always working.

Wow! So it's been what ... 5 years? Guess he would be about 19 now? Well give him my best regards and congrats to you on the grandson. My boy is 16 now. Time is flying.

Not really a climb, more like a hike and in some places a scramble, like a 5.3 grade to a 5.4 grade
