“okay, so now both my wife and i've got fancy digi cams, but know jack squat about photography. i don't have the time to take a real course, so can anybody recommend a decent website, with a free tutorial i could work through? what i'd really like to learn how to do is take those schnazzy stream/waterfall shots where the water looks all silky like. i need a tripod for those right?” 12:38:24 PM 2/20/07 “best thing to do is find a local photography club in your area and join. You will find folks with varying degrees of experience. Some even have a basic photography classes for free” 12:42:10 PM 2/20/07 “I had so many great links, but I swear my bookmarks keep disapearing. One site is the sony site: http://www.sony101.com/campus.jsp?campusId=1101&sonysession.id=09034de8a8274dce2dfae2054045” 12:49:16 PM 2/20/07 “gaby, you might wanna edit your post - your link automatically logs me in under your name!” 12:54:09 PM 2/20/07 “yeah sacco you need a tripod for the waterfall shots...you want to have a longer shutter exposure. Ewker is right...if you can locate a photog group in your area that is a great way to learn. Most experienced photogs love to share their experience with us newbies!!” 12:57:08 PM 2/20/07 “crap!!! that really, really sucks.” 1:13:32 PM 2/20/07 “i know a real live class with a real live instructor would be best, but i really don't have the time. i'm hoping i can find one online that i can look over here and there for a few minutes a day - 15 minutes at lunch, 30 minutes before bed. that kind of thing. i'll check that out gem, thanks.” 2:39:12 PM 2/20/07 “it looks like it's fixed now. sorry you had to change your password, but at least some punk didn't beat ya to it! i shoulda tried to call you, i just remembered that i have your phone number somewhere in an email- but it might have taken me 10 minutes to find it anyhow.” 2:41:31 PM 2/20/07
