Two companies that make their gear in the USA. I can vouch for the quality and functionality (making up words again) from both:

www.ula-equipment.com

www.kahtoola.com

Who else is out there making good stuff?

Doesn't patagonia make their gear here?

Feathered Friends?
Western Mountaineering?

Just guessing.

I started a thread about this topic a couple of years back, but don't remember the title. There may be some company names on it.

DON'T BUY AMERICAN!
Their quality control sucks, and buying American only supports their goal of World Domination through "Democracy"...yeah, that's right, IT'S ALL A FRONT FOR AN ATTEMPT TO DOMINATE THE WORLD!

I posted about this on snowshoes - only MSR and Redfeather now make them in the US. Of course, there's GV (gvsnowshoes.com) and Faber (fabersnowshoes.com) that are made up here in Canada, eh?

Black Diamond has a lot of their gear made in Europe (almost necesssary for CE certification), but not in the Third World.

Coleman makes Canadian sold stuff in Canada and the parts are not interchangeable with US or Euro gear.

Sierra Designs make gear both in the US and Canada. MEC (www.mec.ca) offer their high end gear (my new Gore-Tex XCR 'Aegis' parka, for example, the Zips are YKK, made in USA) in Canada with Third World alternatives in lower end products.

K2 bought Tubbs and Atlas and now these snowshoes are getting the big bucks with 3rd World production costs.

Don't forget Arc'terix, Seratus (packs) and Integral Design - all Canuck and absolutely top quality.

AND THEN there is G3 (Genuine Guide Gear) that make only one grade of gear - the finest; Canuck, too, eh?

also ThePacka by Cedar Tree is back being made in the USA I think - serious quality problems from China because volume was so low

Western Mountaineering bags are definitely made in the USA. I think that Osprey packs are made in the USA or were.
