“wow, another trail I would like to hike. To many trail so little time..sigh Anyone ever hike it? http://www.idahoptv.org/outdoors/shows/centennialtrail/index.cfm” 11:57:37 AM 2/22/07 “I just attended a slide show by Roger Williams, last night, of his 1986 hike on the Centennial Trail. He and his partner were the first to hike it, but now its an official state trail. He hiked 1200+ miles, with 12 food drops, averaging 10 miles or so per day. It took them all summer. Much of it is on ridges, so water is scarce and they carried a lot of water. They saw very few people on the trail. According to a guy from the Parks and Rec department, only one other person has hiked it since then, and he was present at the meeting, and did it over two years. We are starting a new outdoor club here in Boise, and Roger was our first speaker at our first meeting. We had an attendance of 80 people. The website is at http://idahomountainrec.org/ for Idaho Mountain Recreation Club.” 4:33:39 PM 2/22/07 “purty cool Bob.” 5:22:35 PM 2/22/07 “thats a long-ass time to be spending in grizzly country. i wonder if he had any close encounters” 5:36:45 PM 2/22/07 “so southern idaho is desert. i did not know that” 5:42:36 PM 2/22/07 “yep, so i wanna go there someday too.” 5:47:35 PM 2/22/07
