Are you doing the 6 times a day routine? I assume you are since you just started seeing a trainer.

When you start eating more protein and fiber than you're used to, it definitely seems like you're not on a diet, kind of.

I think the saying is, "the body will not burn that which it does not have," meaning energy. If you're not feeding yourself enough, your body thinks it needs to hold on to every calorie. If it knows it's going to regularly get exactly what it needs, it will be more likely to let go of the excess.

One of the injustices of life is that skinny people can eat my weight a day, but I can gain weight on water.

I try to eat three meals, an apple and an orange juice, soup (to-day and steak for dinner. The theory is that you don't need as big a fuel tank (stomach) if you fill it with less more often.

I think heredity is the biggest determiner - it depends who you chose for grandparents.

The first time I went on the "eat more" diet, I lost 25 lbs. I've recently started back on it and have lost 15 lbs. since mid January.

I weight train 3 - 4 days per week. Now, I need to start some type of cardio routine!

SC - I am right there with you. Last year when I was training for Rainier i was eating what I thought was a ton of food. Yep....lost some fat gained some muscle but what a difference on my body shape.

I am back to the notion that I need to eat more. I have managed to put on my 'winter coat' again and it needs to come of for summer! Bring on the food!
