Does anyone out there use a particular waterproofing on their tent that seems to work better than the rest? Or would you say their all the same? (i know im such a noobie) let me know what you use!

Depends on the tent. Most fly's don't even need to be sealed.

What kinda tent you using?

If the fly is not sealed, might it leak?? "Seams" like they would

i bought a really cheap tent for myself to use every once in a while and if rain sits on the top of the fly (small beads do) then it drips through. Its terrible, maybe i should just by a different fly?

I have a Eureka 2 man tent that has never been sealed. The tent has be through heavy rains time and time again and it has never leaked.

I have a newer tarp tent that I did seal due to the manufactures reccomendation.

Anything is possible. If you are not sure, seal it. First check the instructions that came with the tent.

amd618, buy a new tent...hard to replace a fly.
