We got great winds, and the weather is nice and warm in Tennessee.

last time i sailed i was 5 or 6 months pregnant with my 13yr old son. i remember my oldest son's father, (not my husband, but we are great friends), throwing me the rope and saying, "jump to the dock and tie us up". i looked at him and looked at the dock about 6 feet away and looked at my belly and wondered if he remembered i was pregnant. i jumPed! landed well, tied her up! his dad suddenly looked at me and my belly and looked at him, threw back and his head and laughed. he told us we were nuts! Gosh that was a great day! i LOVE sailing!!!

I saw the thread title and thought "Was it a Hobie Day?"

(I still have Hobie 16 scars, LOL)

That's fine if you want to launch F-15s off the foredeck, LOL

I'm sure Bobo can relate to this: I was down in Savannah for the Olympics in '96 and asked one of the Tornado (catamaran) sailors how they dealt with the monohulls sailing the same course and he said, "We just treat them as stationary objects."

Nice boat Bobo, I used to sail a 16 on the Chesapeake bay alot. It was a friends boat and we never took it out in less than 20 knots. You know it is amazing how far you can swing on a trapeze.

Pitchpoling is Extremely Large Fun... as the rudders rise into the air and you swing around into the jib hoping the shock-cord doesn't snap! LOL

I remember thinking, "I really ought to keep a tighter grip on the safety line..."

It's such a beautiful windy day outside for this. I wish Chris' other dad still sailed. Man, I can't believe I have to work again. I DO have next Saturday off though. WAHOOOOOOO!
