Speaking of sanity (or the lack)... "Harvey" is on Turner Classics.

Makes ya wanna hang out in bars with a giant invisible rabbit, don't it? Yeah -- me too.

Well, congratulations on making through another shift without committing manslaughter on one of the customers... or one of the 'Boy Managers', LOL

nah, most of the customers were ok today, had a lot of regulars come in for sales and ask for me. it was so cute, husbands steering their wives over to ink and saying, ask Pamela, she knows everything! LOL! well, about ink/toner anyway, and where stuff is in the store, and who to ask for everything else.

i had a gentlemen come in who had bought a laptop about three weeks ago and had lost his receipt and the copies of the rebates that i had told him to keep after he sent it all off. he was trying to figure out when the checks would start arriving. i told him it would be 10-12 weeks, which kind of disappointed him. but i was able to use his credit card to pinpoint the date of the sale and the amount and the exact purchase items, he was able to remember that it was me and my register and the approximate time of day, that was enough information to give my lead cashier to find the receipt in the computer and make a copy, then she was able to make copies of all of his rebates so that he could check on them at their websites and had the phone #'s in case it does take too long. he and his wife think i and my lead cashier are the best thing since sliced bread! i love to make people happy like that, good grateful customers really make your day. i had a lot of them today.

today we had only one boy manager and he behaved. i said to him when we were clocking out, "thank you **** for not ticking me off today". he laughed. i remember when he was just a stocker and he was a pretty cool guy, nothing to prove. never promote from within.

today was alright, i just need some time off, i'm tired.

Last weekend I visited a glas factory. They sold handmade, old-fashioned glas marbles. I bought some. Now I keep running them across my desk, to help me relax and destress.

Seven more days! I see the light at the end of the tunnel. =D
I also got a massage this morning. All those muscles that were bunched up from walking crooked for four weeks are relaxed and pain free (for a few hours at least). I feel goooooood.

BTW, XL400 that cartoon is excellent!
