i can't figure out how to get youtube to play the videos in portrait mode... they all get stretched out to landscape... so some look a little goofy.

“on the youtube videos... i shot many of these in portrait mode. when the flashplayer plays them back they are "stretched" out and the aspect ratio is weird...

to fix this... in the bottom right-hand of the player window is a small box. this box expands the video to the size of the window and is turned on by default. if you click on this button the videos aspect ratio is restored and it looks right... the other button next to it is the "full screen" buttom.”

Unfortunatley "boxes" usually require feeding and shelter, things that are hard to provide unless you leave the house ;)

Yes, good time although I wanted to throw away my Tarptent when I topped out, it was mighty windy this trip making for an even more comical pitch than in March. That and the sand/dirt that flew threw the mesh in waves and I was a very unhappy camper. Got some tips from henry on how to pitch it better (wish they came with the tent) so hopefully in the Sierra it will suit me better.”

“to prove that i mean this i scooped up two of them, a one and two-person virga. every once in a while you see them for sale but they are pretty scarce now. henry needs to offer a "tarptent classic"... :)”

“I heard in another discussion that the rear hoop pole was breaking on the Virgas, perhaps the strut design was supposed to replace the hoop design. Glad you picked up two Jimmy, that'll last you a bit.”
