looking 4 opinions
Hey gang, i was interested in getting some opinions from anyone who has or has used a eureka k-2 xt tent. Is it worth the $$$ or not? Having a 4 season tent is a must for me, but i'm open minded to a better tent and
maybe saving some $$$. Thanks, Gravewater

I use Eureka! tents (and Slumberjack bags, BTW) and resist the ridicule from other, wealthier bpers.

I have a Eureka! Sentinel 4 person expedition tent that I've used since 1988. It's outmoded by newer models now, but is still going strong.

My newer Eureka! Mountain 2XT performs great and is more modern.

In my experience, Eureka! make a good, solid product.

I bought an Aurora I in '99 (discontinued) based on a BPer Mag field trial. It won out over halfa dozen other (mostly) more expensive solo tents. Great tent. Eureka! rocks!

I've used mine in a hurricane that blew up the NE coast (Floyd) back in '99 I believe. I was in the Whites and we had to hole up in it for almost 3 days straight in 70 mph winds and a rain/wet snow mix.

This tent has always perfomed perfectly. We stayed as dry as a popcorn fart the whole time. I use it mostly as my winter shelter or for when I know the weather will be really bad.

There's lighter, there's cheaper, but that's my testamony to this tent in question.

pretty sure i'm getting a erueka spitfire UL, my friend has had spitfires for years and has nothing but praise for them. he's our Scoutmaster in charge of high adventure/backpacking. read the backpacker.com review on erueka spitfires.

p.s. the spitfires are on sale at campmor.com right now for only $89!
