Joe Arpaio should go to Homeland Security and Chertoff should go see a socialist Doctor in Cuba.

AGREEED!...Michael Chertoff....MY LORD what a BLITHERING idiot.

Un, when he spoke in Charleston at the funeral one of the firemen sitting next to me said, "Bush better be glad he can't run again..or that guy would have cost him the election."

Everytime I see Chertoff explaining Homeland Security it reminds me of the little ROTC guy in Animal House saying, "ALL IS WELL".

WELLL looks like Idaho Sen. Larry Craig may be packing it in...(no pun intended) as a result of his arrest on public indencency.

Then again....Idaho? yeah there is something there.

Craig should go to San Fransisyco and help the major with the water bottle invasion.

Martha was a phone junkie way before the Age of the Cell.

I know a guy who was appointed as an Assistant US Atty back about 1970.   His Official Document commemorating the event has John Mitchell's signature on it.   It has to be worth some scratch ---- he was the only USAG ever convicted of a felony (so far, < VBG >).

Let's see, who else was on Alberto's "Hit By A Bus List"?

Currently in the Running:
Michael 'Katrina' Chertoff
Asa 'G Man' Hutchinson
Ted 'Arkansas Project' Olson

The Neverending Gonzalez Non-Scandal
By James H. Warner
FrontPageMagazine.com | Thursday, September 13, 2007

On Sunday, July 29, Chris Wallace interviewed Senator Russ Feingold on Fox News. Wallace observed that Democrats had received thousands of documents related to the firing of the U.S. attorneys. He asked if the Senator could point to one smoking gun that had been discovered in those documents indicating that a crime had been committed. The Senator stammered that he could not name specifics but that he was sure that a crime had been committed.
[b]

NOW if we find out all this was (as we were saying in the beginnning) bumpkis...can we expect the same treatment of the Dems that say....oh a Certain prosecutor in N. Carolina got for filing false charges?

I think that would only be fitting....

Gonzales Lawyers Up

WASHINGTON (AP) - Former Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales has hired a high-powered Washington lawyer to represent him in investigations of mismanagement of the Justice Department.

George Terwilliger, a white-collar-crime defense attorney and Justice's No. 2 in the early 1990s, had been on the White House's short list to replace Gonzales. Now he will defend Gonzales as federal investigators look into allegations that Gonzales lied to lawmakers and illegally allowed politics to influence hiring and firing at Justice.

Terwilliger said yesterday that Gonzales has maintained he did nothing wrong or illegal and that his hiring of a lawyer should not signal any guilt.

If Cheney didn't get sent to Leavenworth for outing a CIA agent, I am guessing nothing much will come of this either.

If any convictions result will they eventually go to the Supremes for even more 5-4 decisions?

Or will the Shrub issue Pre-emptive Pardons all around?
