Can anyone suggest a good, summer sleeping bag that is reasonably priced?

Thanks

What is reasonable to you? Do you perfer Down, Synthetic, or could care less? Is weight an issue?

Also, when you say summer bag, summer where? Summer temps in Florida are much different that those for Maine.

Welcome Glimmertwin
Start at the top of the pile and then work your way into the cheaper brands. Here's a group of the best summer bags you can buy.

But remember one thing before you go cheap. A well taken care of high-quality bag will last you 15-20 years before you might have to think about sending it back to the manufacturer for a refill.

I just got my Marmot Arete bag yesterday. I'm impressed with it once I got to play with it a little last night. Nice bag, great features.

I have a SD Wicked Lite Fast bag. Rated to 45, I have used it down to abour 35 and slept well.

Light as hell at 11 ounces as well.

Depends on temps. Normally I take my bivy and a Poncho Liner seems to work great. But we are talking WARM in the summer (actually from Late May to September.

In August, just take a $10 Wal-Mart, KMart, or Target fleece bag.

You are not going to be able to find much for your price range. I attached a MH bag above that is pretty nice for the money.
