“Nice site, Sass. I think there's a picture of the wolf I spotted during my Sept '06 trip to Isle Royal in my profile. He came out of the woods onto the trail and stared at me from a distance of 10-20 feet (it's hard to estimate distance when you're crapping your pants). Thanks.”

BTW, the first few entries don't have much but as you go there's great explanation of what's happening w/ the wolves and pictures too.
