“We just got through hearing a jerk of a real estate salesman telling us that we'll never sell our house for the asking price and we should just accept his clients' lowball offer and out of the blue this morning WHAMMO! We get a contract for the full asking price. HPM's over the moon right now. Said nasty salesman is getting a loud raspberry on his voicemail.

Unless that agent was hired by the buyer, report him/her to FREC. It does not sound like he was doing his proper job for you. FREC is the Florida Real Estate Commission. (I have obtained and held Florida Real Estate Licenses twice, and worked in RE. But that was more than 10 years ago.)
