I'm Moving...............

“My District Superintendent called the other day. A D.S. in the district to the north of us, just an hour or less from Arkansas, called and asked me to come on up to pastor a growing church there. Lot's of youth in the church, growth potential in a beautiful wooded, hilly area........it's time.........
Say a prayer for me and my family, please.....God is moving me on to new ministries..........

“Nimblefoot - I have nothing against you. I have always felt we are friends. But I do try to respect names and foreign languages.

You are not the first one to cause me to object to misuse of the Spanish Language and I expect that there will be others. My guess was that you were unwilling to take the time to somehow replace "i" with "í." However, from your last remark, it appears that you have been ignorant of the difference. Ignorance is OK.

Here is a link to one of many sites that provide translations. I don't believe that any of them are perfect. When using one of these programs, I reverse the translation to see if it returns to the orginal statement. If it fails, I either work on the translation by hand or forget about using it.

With regard to your remark on Chappy's good news thread, I was thinking that today is Sunday. As such, in my Sunday morning mood, I did not find your remark too funny. I found it a little funny, but not enough. In the future I shall avoid remarking at such humorous attempts by you. Please carry on as usual or as you chose.
