Grand Canyon
Here's a shot of Baume66 skirting by a bighorn in the Grand Canyon. Just that morning he was stating that seeing a bighorn sheep would complete the trip! yeah!

yes it is! just ask Baume66, Crashbang, Oldog, Jimmysan or Prosecuter. Baume's a little blurry because the lighting was low and he was moving.
Pretty cool eh?

I will ask him!

Dang, I saw Crash yesterday morning and no mention of this.

Baume does have a funny look on his face!
That's a big animal.

"Dang, I saw Crash yesterday morning and no mention of this"
He's probably still too busy fuming about his lost tent stakes. ;)

Great shot, Paige!

That is one big animal and I ain't talking about Baume. ;)

I'm hoping we see some in May when I'm back out there (along with pink rattlers and condors). We came up dry last Oct. No bighorns or condors. Snakes were done for the season. Only saw mule deer. Oh, there was a mountain lion cub siting while we were in Indian Gardens.

I don't know about Crash, but I gave ENS some stakes yesterday morning.

Thanks MsDoolittle,
It was the first time I have seen a Bighorn in the Canyon. We were fortunate enough to see Condor again, Plateau Point usually delivers. Never have seen a Rattler down there although we did see a five foot long snake on a previous trip, not sure what kind it was but is was friendly.
Mtn Lion Cub???

I climbed my first mountain w/ Baume66. It felt like a dream come true. Maybe there is something about hiking w/ him. Course, MarkO and Lesubtil and Gonzo and Wolfsister and Buddur and tarabull were there too.

Great shot! Ahh, those moments make it all worthwhile :)

Baume66 looks like he's wondering how that bighorn would taste with some gravy and Texas toast!

There's not enough firewood in The Canyon to cook that sucker.

Mesquite trees can be found in lower elevations.

...and right after that photo, they butted heads/horns to fight over a Mountain Dew, right?

Way cool! If it weren't for the blurry front leg of the bighorn, I would have guessed that it was fake.

I believe Lambchop is in the Smithsonian.

Note: The above statement is incorrect.
Mallory Lewis, Shari's daughter is using Lambchop in shows of her own according to a listing in Wikipedia. Shari Lewis died in 1998.

Looks like Baumme is keeping an eye on his backside. I'd say the one holding the camera is in more danger. What a great shot. That is one definitely one to keep.
