Fall '07 Sipsey Bushwhack

“Hay ever buddy! We got bak to wher we awreddy was ok.

Heer is what we done -
We rode in the truk after werk Thirsty Day and rode to That Lanta but we keept ridin to Abalama. We got a bed room at Cool Man so we culd get a good nap and rets and waked up and rode in the truk to the stor and got suppers then we rode some mor to the trale hed. Then The Vinnity got ther and we walked in the woods wher ther was tents and a fire and Sooper Trole and Trofe and his wife Dam Booty. Then a man walked by side the creek verry sneeky and my hubsand Gissmaeioux attakt him and my daddy sayed "do not get no buddy ded in these woods Gissmaeioux!" and it was Reeferater anyways (I theenk he is a yanky bwt) then HOIG got ther. Also who was ther was Kayro and then Sippy got ther and her mamma and daddy and The Sishin.

The nother day we walked in the woods byside the creek. Then some buddy sayed "o my goodys! Ther is a raddel sneek and I am verry skeerd!" So me and Gissmaeioux rund over ther but the raddel sneek seen us and rund to the watter and swimmed like a skeerdy chikken.

Then ever buddy went bak to kamp insept us and The Sishin be cuz we went to see some mans but they was awreddy ded when we got ther. We tride to get ther fats but we was to late I gess.

After I ate some suppers and snaks I went to bed but culd not sleep verry good be cuz ever buddy was talkin and singin and laffin and throwin lawgs on the fire. Then finely ever buddy past out.

The nother day BAMMA and bamma was awreddy ther and fixt a VERRY GOOD brekfuss but I was still tired and sore. Then my daddy got me the roma therrapy with a goood stinky poot. It was so good that Gissmaeioux and Sippy got some roma therrapy to. We got so much engerny that we resseld and hopped and rund a round.

That one nite Gissmaeioux sayed "lets do a sneeky plan and get them weenys byside the fire!" and I sayed "no" be cuz we mite get yell ats and beets and kiks and he sayed "o".

So Sunny Day we walked bak to the truk and rode home.

“Glad to see everbody made it home safely. As usual I enjoyed seeing olds friends and making new ones. I would have liked to have spent more time there than we did. I have worked so much lately I just don't have much free time anymore. I had been out of town the week before and still am running behind on things I need to get done.
I wish I had come in earlier, I would not have had to rush breakfast. I should have built the fire up sooner so we would have had ample coals to cook over. We had a surprise in store for Ya'll but didn't get a chance to fix it. We were gonna make a apple dump cake. I guess we will just have to make it on the next trip. Lets see we've had bear, wild hog, elk, deer, and rabbit what critter are we gonna eat next??

“My First Trip to Sipsey and................
I have just one thing to say about SIPSEY..............AWESOME........I have listened to HOI for the last couple years yap about sipsey and the Gang who makes this trip addicting, so I had the need to check this TRIP OUT. WOW>>....More than what I had expected. I had a blast. I couldn't get over the terrain and views, how many water falls and the BIG TREE. Hoi and I took a little bushwack on friday over to BIG TREE. THIS baby is BIG. Makes me look like a skinny midget. I was overwhelmed by the beauty and NO TRASH along the trails. Tells me lots about the folks who go there. I have to do more hiking there now.
I had a blast meeting lots of new folks. SUPER TROLL , I totaly enjoyed listening to your experiences about you and the teams, (SF). You brought back so many memmories and I thank you. You want to meet some one who takes pride in the camp area and the Sipsey itself, SUPER TROLL is the man.
TOPH , you have a RARE find my man. a real beauty. DOWN BOOTIE. I enjoyed your presence and being your first experience out with TTer's, I have to say TOPH could not have brought you to a better a group of backpackers ever. We had fun. KARO, you are a trip dude, lots of energy and you made me laugh, thanks for the patches. OPIES, I remember from trail Days and as usual MS. OPIE is keeping her man in line.Mr. OPIE, you had me convinced there was no juice, I owe you one. Thanks for the juice run, and your friendship. BAMA, I see is the real chef down in those parts. He brings in a Iron Skillet and Dutch Oven with lots of GRUB, and his son I think helped carry the load too. I want to do a trip with you both when you have more time to do a back country trip, it seems you know the area like a know Mt Rogers. Thanks BAMA.
PRECISION, it was good to see you again man, this time was a bit warmer than the last. I would love to have you on the Alaska trip next year.
Okay GOJO.......I laughed my arse off. You had me rollin man. I have met lots of TTer;'s and there is no other GOJO. The songs you sing to your dogs tells me just how much you love your dogs, Thanks for your kindness and helping me finish up Mr. Morgan Sat, night. Thanks for your kindness you give your dogs too. Your a real hero.
HOI, as usual, I always enjoy hiking with you. I am greatful to you in taking e along for that bush wack and showing me Big Tree. Thank you and you know my home is your home.
DIVINITY..........okay, I cannot go into much detail here, I may get into trouble. Just KIDDIN........I had finaly met the famous DIVINITY. GUYS look out. If you think candy is sweet , try Divinity.
I will be back to SIPSEY. This place is a real GEM to the backpacking community.

Man! I really needed that trip. I got home fully re-energized (perhaps it was the result of the four hours of aroma therapy payback I got from the dogs - lol! [what did y'all feed them, btw - heehee!]).

“My new camera doesn't have image stabilization, it is a cheapo that i got just for hiking. The pics of the falls were with a tripod or monopod most of the time. The pics around the fire were shot from the hip at moving targets. Ah what the heck, it was the homemade wine that was at fault. Elderberry, I think it was. I got a gallon on the way there, I'm sure glad the rangers didn't stop me!”

ok....lol......ya know Sipsey...it was uphill all the way out!!!....not too bad...and old road...
..I was worried about how my hips and back would do...but I am fine.....(now I have NO reason to not backpack :)”

“ok.....I will have pics someday....I took my camera to get the film developed, and the machine was broke....so I waited a week...and it is still broken....so this weekend I will drive to Mobile and find a CVS there that has a machine that works...hopefully.....”
