Crash,
We can discuss this Friday around the fire. I don't want you to think that I am trying to hijack your last trip.lol

Back in one piece (or Pieces)!!!
Back home and waiting for the tr!! Had a good time except for the drencher Saturday evening. Didn’t get in until 9:30 PM Sunday, with all the car trouble and detours ended up taking almost ten hours to get back. Thanks to Crash for the guide service and to Atilla for the Sunday morning music show. (That was cool) Thanks to Jimmysan for all his good work with the fire and keeping things from becoming dull by getting lost a couple of times, lol
See ya later.

jimmy san and i toured the climbing walls friday: left flank, military wall, and funk rock city. we saw climbers at the first two walls (climber chicks are hot!) funk rock city was in a little more out of the way spot, and thus deserted. we had a blast exploring all the crevices, and trying to climb on stuff. jimmy san found a rope that he believed leads to a special magical kingdom filled with lollipops and unicorns. i said it probably just leads to the top. we're going to come back some day and see who's right. jimmy san jumped 3 feet in the air when he saw a water moccasin and scared it into the stream that we were just about to ford

on saturday, jimmy, attila, randall, and i hiked approximately 13 miles. starting at grays arch trailhead, we hiked to hidden arch and silvermine arch, and then to my favorite spot in the red, hansens point. we actually stopped about a half mile before hansens point and made camp due to the rain.

the next morning we got up, packed, and hung out at the point for awhile. it was sunny and breezy, and the view was fantastic. ill post some pics when i get a hi speed connection

lunch at the lodge in natural bridge state park was excellent. the broken down car on the way home was not. looks like i may have to drop a new transmission in it

I wonder if we passed you guys hiking. My friend and I left Koomer CG on #220 @ 12:30pm, took it to #221, took it to #205 and threw down about 1/4 mile from the Grays Arch parking area on Saturday, and finished Sunday on #223, 226, and 220. I would have been the big guy with a big pack in a blue shirt and hat.

hey bb, sorry that i forgot to get back to you. maybe we can work something out the next time.

if you want a good training hike, do what me and some others did: hike the rough trail and swift camp creek trail in one day. we did it as a dayhike. i believe it took us 7 or 8 hours

No sweat. I done training. I'll be NOBO from Neel's Gap in one week. I've never been on Swift Creek Camp trail down there, but that section of the Rough trail between Grays Arch and Koomer ridge gave me a good enough workout. I had 50 lbs on my back for no good reason other than, well, it had beer in it so I guess that's kinda a good reason.

Where are you going to abandon your car? I could use the 2007 park pass.
