Enchanted Valley, ONP - any interest?

“Anybody interested in Enchanted Valley over the three day Memorial Day weekend? The Olympic National Park website does mention about 80 fallen trees on the trail, but I am hoping they will be cleared by then. If the fallen trees prove to be a major obstacle still at that time, maybe we could have an alternate plan such as Rialto Beach to Cedar Creek.

My very first overnight backpacking trip was to Enchanted Valley. I bought a used tent, pack, and boots, and regretted the boots as they were a little too small and hurt like heck. I couldn't sleep my first night in a tent because during the evening there was a bear roaming around the campsites before nightfall. Then during the night a deer was walking around next to the tents and that kept me wondering if it was the bear. Finally around 4 AM an enormous rumble woke me again, think it was an avalanche. And I took no pictures on that trip. Dang! Did I even take the camera, I don't know.
