“Mexico was a blast! Just back from a week in Huatucol, Oaxaca, MX. We had an unexpected overnighter in Houston flying out but got to see my best girlfriend and my godbabies. So cute! Saw a ruin currently under excavation in the jungle. Preety neat. Saw a bunch of different beautifully colored birds, sea turtles, and some leaping rays (weird but true). We had one scary moment involving a bull from which we hid behind some bushes...very scary being in the middle of nowhere with a bull between us and the path. lol. The resort was fabulous...just what we needed after our several past trips being buttkicking backpacking adventures. PS - Continental airlines stinks as far as customer service goes. We plan on heading back some day soon to explore more of Mexico...this time backpacking.” 7:52:28 AM 4/09/07 “I'm glad you made it back alive, Twinky! My son Henry spent 3 1/2 weeks in Cuernavacca, near Mexico City, for the winter Mini-Mester. It was a Spanish immersion program for university credit. They saw some pyramids and he got nicely sun-burnt. They did a side trip to Acapulco and he got sunburnt there too. He spent his last couple of nights at a hostel in The City. There he met two Norwegian girls who were beginning a several month trip through Latin America. He wanted to go with them but had to come home...........so sad.” 8:19:05 AM 4/09/07 10:44:15 AM 4/09/07 “Thanks for your report and pictures.
