Pine Creek Gorge Hike-A-Thon June 2007

“Alright hikers, here is your opportunity to mix some great hiking in with a public service. During the week of June 19 to 24 the Keystone Trails Association Summer Trail Crew will be setting up camp at Twin Streams Campground in Morris, Pa. Goal of the week is to extend the Mid State Trail north from PA route 287 in Tioga County.
Here is what I am offering. To any interested hikers or backpackers that would be willing to contribute at the very least a day working on the trail with KTA in exchange I will provide shuttle service to trailheads for hiking in the Pine Creek region. The Mid State, West Rim, Black Forest, Golden Eagle, Bob Weber Trails are nearby. The MST has a spur trail in Slide Hollow behind my place. Camping for tents or RV is available at Twin Streams. Tent camping available in my back yard next door. I will be taking vacation that week to work on the trail, hike and partake in some evening refreshments. Break out your calendars, pick a hike, and bring your work gloves. Drop me a line if you are interested.
