Thunder Swamp Trail Question

“Does anyone know whether the bridge over Saw Creek about 2 miles north of the trail head on Rt. 402 has been replaced? I was there last April and the bridge was gone. It made for a deep and cold crossing in the high Spring flow. I would appreciate any information. Thanks!”

“I don't believe so, you might want to call the delaware state forest.”

“No. Still no bridge.”

“Thanks! Is there a better place to cross than where the bridge used to be?”

“I don't think there is a way to get acrossed other than a ford. We walked up and down the creek seeing if there was a better way to get acrossed and there was no suitable place. There is some shady looking private property around there two down stream near where Saw Creek flows into a small lake. there is a dam there, but we didn't explore because of the shady looking private property.”
