National Park T-Shirts
hey fellow hikers and campers. i found a great place online for some pretty cool national park t-shirts and magnets, i like to collect magnets from all the national parks i've been to, i've gotten a lot of compliments on my t-shirts so i thought i'd share the shop with y'all.

Sam Stone was alone
When he popped his last balloon
Climbing walls while sitting in a chair
Well, he played his last request
While the room smelled just like death
With an overdose hovering in the air
But life had lost its fun
And there was nothing to be done
But trade his house that he bought on the G. I. Bill
For a flag draped casket on a local heroes' hill.

Nothing is lamer than crappy Search Engine Optimization work.

Oh yeah...
Keyword stuffing and forum backlink spam sucks.
Thanks for your efforts to make the web a #&%!$tier place.

i can't believe you hostile people, yeah i just registered and yes i posted my comment about american idol too, so sue me, my understanding is this is a forum about hiking camping and outdoors, i labeled my post t-shirts if you don't want to know about national park t-shirts why even bother reading it. i stand by what i said, i think it's a cool t-shirt and this seems to a place people also might be interested.

Sammy Stone -

1. At your site I could not locate a t-shirt for Ocala National Forest! That has been a popular place for many in this group.
2. The prices for most of the Apalachicola National Forest T-Shirts are too high! I assume this trait appplies to the rest of the line as well.
3. Your Web Site sucks - too many things seem to be jumping, spinning and moving around.
4. We have our own store here for t-shirts. You're jumping in with competition is not appreciated.
5. You jump in here and expect a warm welcome. You're lucky I didn't get a hold of you first! However, you're still welcome to join up with some of our hikes. By hiking with us, you can earn your way into the group.
6. For me you're too late. I just bought two t-shirts at my aikijutsu class Monday evening. They are pretty and cost $12 each. I'd have to think twice about wearing one of your Lesbian T-Shirts to my class.
7. I would be in class again tonight, but I'm preparing for a backpacking trip. Have you ever gone backpacking, or do you keep busy promoting t-shirts?

Damm, I was actually interested in this thread. Sure it's crappy to shove stuff in our face under the guise of being a "reg BP'er, but it's better than most feugo threads around here. It is sorta "outdoors" related. Maybe we should start a thread just for merchants to peddle their wares. Then we could call a spade a spade, and the troll could be honest about trying to sell us something.

i can't believe your hostility, i hope this gets completely deleted, it isn't MY site, i don't set the prices, i just like the shirts i got and as i said gotten compliments on,

i can't believe people are accusing me of not even being into camping and hiking and backpacking. i love the outdoors and go camping as much as possible. gee why'd i sign up here?!

i get enough money i road trip to another national park. i was excited to find this site from the other, * you people, i hope they delete the link to this horrible place full of such negative energy. * trying to share something i liked. i followed all the rules if i was a spammer i would not have titled my post as such, it was an honest recommendation that's all, i still am in shock about all this hatred.

I looked up a golf t-shirt. It was listed as 100% Jersey Cotton. I could be interested, if it said 100% Cotton. I searched for Jersey Cotton on Google. The results looked OK, but I was not satisfied. I am extremely allergic to Dacron, even just the thread used for sewing on a collar. As such I am extremely cautious as I have had too many problems with this issue.

You have not met all the good people here, yet. However, I have to go along with what humanpackmule said.

Aw c'mon Sam!

If you truly aren't spamming ---- Sorry! My mistake.

Exchanges on this website frequently "ain't bean-bag". Think of it as a baptism of... well... not all that much 'fire' really. That was more of a hand-warmer. If you want to see something more akin to actual fire check the 'fuego' threads. Better put on your Nomex underwear on first, though! It does help to scope out a place before diving in head first.

Anyone who pops up with a link to a commercial site in their very first thread will invariably be thought a spammer ---- try not to take it personally. It's kind of a tradition, really.

CB is usually one of the first to raise hell. He must be getting soft in his old age.

Same thing goes for any brand-new person who wants to know All About Backpacking, and BTW, she's a hot babe who just got out of the shower and she's all wet --- and titanium gets her all tingly.... TROLL!!!!

(but if it turns out that you were actually spamming, you will be thoroughly keel-hauled)

What company is selling this stuff?

How can we get information on the company?

Are these same products sold in the shops at the National Parks, Forests, etc.?

Is there any connection between this promotion and the National Park, Forest, etc., Service?

Are you associated with any venture in Africa?

Okay, Sammy, now that you've met some of us how about telling us something about you...begin by giving more info on your profile page...and consider how many times over the years people have logged on here once and tried to sell us stuff...so, you didn't know and got hit...if you are truly into the outdoors, get over this and tell us about where you have backpacked last? Are you a solo backpacker or go in groups? Done it a long time or just getting into it? There are lots of us who post here who have met each other and I mean lots...I have never met one member here who is a jerk so, if you truly love backpacking and the outdoors like we do, welcome...

And I am also happy to wave Sanjaya goodbye!

okay now that that's over ...

about me, been hiking/camping since boyscouts, as i mentioned most recently brought my sister to the grand canyon as she had never seen it, didn't have the time on her schedule to hike much there which was a bummer, but it was important for to her to see it.

i like day hikes that lead to secluded camping spots usually with someone else (my boyfriend mostly), have been exploring the southwest most recently, amazing hiking/camping at joshua tree (i love both halves of the park so completely different, coyotes anyone?) and did some nice (very rainy) hiking at pinnacles in california 2 months ago.

all the parks in california just blow my mind. southern utah has a lot going for it also (at least nature-wise). olympic national park in washington is one of the most incredible places i've hiked through, from the rain forest to coast; i seriously consider moving to seattle for all that amazing nature.

something in the past year i also recently really enjoyed was driving down to mexico and visiting the elegant crater in parque nac el pinacate, on the way the rangers at organ pipe nat park in arizona warned us, that this is very remote, there aren't signs, or people or anything, you've been warned. the reason i wanted to go was i fell in love with edward abbey's "desert solitude" and after reading it (mostly about arches nat park, a MUST read book) i read somewhere that he called the area of el pinacate basically (paraphrased here) "the most desolate useless bit of land filled with gila monsters, black widows and scorpions" so i wanted to see it 1st hand. it is incredible with sonoran based plant life and cacti growing out of black volcanic dirt.

after getting quite lost in vern the jeep (no signs, lots of dirt "roads" that just mysteriously end)and not another soul anywhere the entire day, and hiking to the summit of the extinct volcano it was quite an amazing day. in an interesting related note, we drove into puerto penasco on the gulf of california the next day, and got a flat tire, not a big deal, we are so prepared (former boyscout remember), however the tire iron snapped in 2, and there was no way to get the tire off, we were both like, *expletive*, we are so lucky this didn't happen lost in the midst of el pinacate with no one to help us, hiking 30 or miles in that heat to find help would not have been my favorite hike. so that's some of my recent adventures.

i am hoping this coming weekend to drive to chiricahua nat monument in south eastern arizona, i've never been there yet but the photos i've seen make it seem like a strange moon of a strange planet. if anyone's hiked there would love to hear what you think.

(and yes so happy about sanjaya hitting the road, go america! lol)

The only hiking in the Southwest I've done is the Grand Canyon (twice, about 8 years apart). Amazing place -

Oh --- And all new female contributors are automatically requested to post a photo, LOL. Most of us have pics on 'Phils Photo Page' (link above, on the right). The 'pictures' link at the top will take you to other photo albums.
