Mount rogers

“Ok im a noob here and was wondering if anyone would want to go on a trip in the mount rogers area on the weekend of 5/11 it would be my first trip with anyone on here i dont know the area to well i use to ride bikes alot in damascus but never really stayed over night except for carcamping if your interested let me know”

“Hey lazyhiker..iffin you want to do a trip this comming weekend, May 4th 5th 6th......Some others have e mailed me, saying Mothers day weekend is not possible. I do have the following weekend open if you are set for May 11th.

Meet at Grayson Highlands friday by noon, park at the backpacking gravel lot. Hike up the AT spur trail connecting the AT and go SOUTH to Springs Trail. I know a sweet little spot near there for friday night.
Saturday move out up and over Wilburn Ridge on to Thomas Knob. If you want to go to the summit of Mt Rogers , that's open too. Head North AT back to Rodo Gap and take an old section of the AT down Pine Mt, 3rd highest Mt in Virginia on to intersect the At again heading South again on to ascales and into Little Wilson Creek Wilderness area for saturday night camp. Sunday move out early on to Grayson Highlands parking lot.


Plenty of H2o, and if the weather is nice, plenty of VIEWS, and sunrise and sun set moods, early spring Flowers, ponies, and some NoBo's (North Bounders).”

OUR Tent was HEATED, ask Sacco..........Phantom, although Marko was out as usuall...... hey when we took the Hilleberg down there was a super deep BUTT depression where MARKo slept due too his FARTS approxamating every 15 minutes...............................remember MARKo????????????????//
