Here is a place that is using rock climbers in their State advertizing, and busting rock climbers in state campgrounds for being too noisy partying.

Some of the saner suggestions are-
"give us a corner of the campground away from the fogey's who want to go to bed at 8pm.
Some of the less sane are suggesting limits on what size guns should be shot while drunk.
PS. that person was probably joking as climbers have enough hardware without hardware.

Camp 4 at Yosmite, and Camp slime at the 'gunks are climbrs campgrounds, minimal (sometimes a porta potty) amenities at the base of the cliff.

These are not hot shower for 1/4, and concrete pad with elec. hookup for the winnebago.
Most of the hiking is vertical.”

It is truly an international camp site.

“I loved the atmosphere at Camp 4 and, had I been 20 years younger, would have definitely spent some time there...I love the irrevererance of climbers...the combination of their dedication to the art of the rock and partying creates an atmosphere I would have found intoxicating when I was in my 20-30's...I still enjoyed stopping by just to watch the wonderful madness...so undisciplined in the campground, so disciplined on the rocks...very cool combo...”
