Um...........I don't know how long you have actually been around, HyWay, but what you say is.........quite inaccurate.

There was some real nasty schit being said in the late '90s about "liberals". I for one was surprised that so many backpackers could be right-wing zealots. It was like listening to the Rush Limbaugh show on a backpacking forum...............too weird.

“marko, I wasn't around in 2001 (I don't think, but maybe I was, I am not sure) but I see a lot of the posts when I do searches. I did say that there were some conservatives and I know they said vile stuff. My point was that liberals said lots of stuff that smacked of hate speech but it was considered funny since it was about conservatives and most of the posters were liberals. Now there are lots more conservatives, (heck there might even be a balance between conservatives and libs on TT) and we don't mind giving back what is so cheerfully served to us. Of course, libs see it as hate speech when a conservative says the same things that libs do, you nappy headed ho.
