Twinks, I emailed you under the email you have on your TT profile (triana_ @ hotmail)

Nora changed the campsite to the FREE one... woohoo! So she got a permit for it and I emailed you the directions and also my cell phone number because she's getting horrible reception.

maple, twinks, and matt (trail name?),

not sure if you got the note on maple's car or if it was hit by the rain, but it briefly explained what happened and why we were not there at smithfield when you pulled in.

we waited 2 and a half hours and we figured by then you must have missed the turnoff onto the beach or something because you weren't that far behind us and i was feeling pretty sick but mainly guido's poison ivy started getting pretty bad and he was nervous about getting to a hospital (he's literally deathly allergic).

hence, why we couldn't wait.

we were very hesitant to leave but spoke with a ranger (kelly) who said he'd be there at the dock for the next 2 hours on top of the 2.5 that we were there, and we told him the story and told him to let you guys know what happened and he said that they would be able to have a ranger shuttle you back. so hopefully everything worked out!!!!! let me know.

i'll keep you posted on how guido is doing.

oh and the pics are already up (i'm such a dork with no life):

it was messed up on so many levels

What section of the river did you guys paddle?

um... we didn't leave you stranded. we stayed as long as we could possibly stay.

guido needed to get back home and to a hospital, we left a message with the ranger who said he would pass it on to you and have someone shuttle you back to your car (whether it was him or another ranger) and then another note on your car.

no one had cell phones on them on the river, so we couldn't call you. plus you said your cell phone was dead even if you DID have it. we didn't know what else to do and waited as long as we could!

adventurist, we started at dingmen's ferry in milford and ended at smithfield beach near stroudsburg (i believe that's the town).

sorry scorch but it was a very f^cked up thing to do. fine, then they could have left and you wait.being hungover does not count for being sick. the ranger knew nothing. and when we asked for a ride, it was out of there jurisdiction. liviers would not take us. every car was full of people or not going our way.

defend yourself all you want. it was a very selffesh thing to do to your friends.

i would never ever had done that to anyone!!!!!!!

ive said how I feel and I am moving on. damage is done

Scorchfire,

I am very disappointed that you left the three of us stranded 20 miles from the cars. We put our trust in you and you f*cked us over.

I'm furious that you lied about having waited 2 1/2 hours...who the hell do you think you're trying to fool?

And I'm the most enraged about the huge pile of garbage that you left behind. Yeah, the garbage bag full of empty beer cans that you guys left by the toilet?

Selfish pigs.

I'm done with you.

You guys are Joshin!! This must be the "Irate" part of the trip.

Besides in all this Iratedness you only had to censor 1 cuss word. "most enraged" , "Furious" please. : )

Wow, first off, *I* left no garbage. I picked up EVERYTHING at the campsite and put it in said trashbag. Next thing I knew, it was gone. I assumed someone took it down to the boats since they were packing. I was occupied with other things getting ready to leave and didn't think to ask where it went.

Second off, I wasn't "hungover" sick. I was sick-sick. If I was hungover sick I wouldn't have woken up at 5:30am and ready to leave and all excited to start paddling by 7am. I was fine before we took off. It didn't kick in until about an hour and a half into the trip to Smithfield and only got worse after that.

Third off, I absolutely did NOT lie about waiting 2 and a half hours!!!!!! I don't know where you get off telling me I'm lying.

And lastly, be "done with me" all you want, Twinks. I felt extremely bad about leaving and figured you would have gotten the message we left, but apparently didn't.... after the message you just wrote to me, Michele, I don't feel nearly as bad anymore.

The only thing I can think of is that maybe I should have made Andy stay behind and wait for you guys and give him keys to my truck and I accompany Guido home since we were the 2 not doing so great, but obviously I didn't think of that. And even so, we weren't sure if you may have passed the dock since we didn't think you would be over 2.5 hours behind us.

I'm sorry you didn't get the message. That specific ranger stated he would be around for the next 2 hours after we left. We told him it was an emergency situation. You KNEW that Guido had the poison ivy... you HEARD him looking at it saying it was getting worse and that he would probably have to go to the hospital for it b/c he was DEATHLY allergic! Where do you get off telling me I'm a liar?????

I'm done with responding to this on TT. This has now become a private matter. If you have anything else to say, call or email me.

you have the nerve to get pissed at us. you think we should be forgiving? did you bother to call my husband to tell him that i would be extremly late? no

do you know he was on the phone with the park rangers trying to find us?

all three of you were selfesh. if he was that allergic then he should have worn socks and or long pants. what was your parting words to me scorch?
wow they really are hungover.

what did I learn out of all of this?
I will be very picky who I go out with. you only come with a case of beer, two bottles of hard liquor and barley no food no tent no life jackets no extra dry clothing, you stay the f^ck home!

if he had over shot the smithfield beach, did you drive to the other parking area?

I pulled out at 12:00. how do I know that? when you were not in the parking lot, i went right up to the ranger (young female with long brown hair in a pony tail) and asked the time.

I told you I was not in a rush. I was here to enjoy this and was going to. but you three felt the need to blast right out of there at the crack of dawn. your own fault.

but I am with you on this one, I am done. done with you only because I have to defend myself for being angry at you.

Like I said, I'd be more than willing to take this PRIVATELY from now on, but I will no longer post any more responses on here. I'm done.
And I'm not the one who brought a case of beer nor liquor. And I had plenty of food. Speak for the other 2, NOT me.
