Barring good liberal revision (LOL) lets remember what REALLY happened at the Paul Welfar...sorry Wellstone funeral. There were speakers who made a passing reference or NO reference at all to the deceased but then locked into the opposition.

Sorry Ped, it reminded me of a little southern church funeral I went to one time where the minister made two small comments about the deceased and then spent 30 minutes extolling the virtue of his small chruch and the need for people with MONEY to join his church.”

I think the thing that pisses off libbies was Jerry extolled the virtue of seeking to be the best you can be. He identified those segments of society who constantly want to be victims and then showed how there was a way out. He wanted a society where people were RESPONSIBLE. Others don't like that.
