“Bloody mole! We're not supposed to look at it but there it is! Bloody mole! LOL! So I have an appointment with a plastic surgeon to have a few moles removed from my face and I was wondering if anyone here has had it done before and what your results were?” 6:22:13 AM 5/17/07 “From what I understand its a pretty basic proceedure....no biggie anymore. For Mole removal you can do it yourself ![]() LOL that would hurt!” 7:19:47 AM 5/17/07 “ 7:22:36 AM 5/17/07 “Then there is the DIY burn off removal method. [img]I recognize that we as parents will always are a bit leery of the true nature of our children. It seems a bit ironic but we always tend to see them as that little helpless child we raised lo’ these many years ago. We also tend to see their later accomplishments only in the slips and glitches in their performance. I realize Alex had some tough moments and I tried my best to keep him focused and work with him. Apparently we were all successful and I know how proud you are of him right now. You should be justifiably proud of your son (as you no doubt are). While he may never have set any educational records in his time at the Medical College of Georgia there were a few other things he did, and I thought you might want to hear of them. Alex served with great distinction as an EMT and a Firefighter; I was his direct superior in the Volunteer Division of the Fire Department. I have been a firefighter for roughly seventeen years and I can say that I have met very few men who I would rather have next to me in a fire. Your son may have, in fact, saved my life in a fire on West Lynn Drive that took the lives of three family members. The heroics aside Alex was always a competent, dedicated professional. I know a number of the Paramedics he worked with and those I truly trust told me they watched him mature to become a medic they would prefer to ride with, over all others. As a firefighter, Alex became my primary person to call when I needed dependable leadership. I was always impressed by his perseverance in any situation. And while I know there must have been times you were pulling your hair out, I was willing to bet Alex would accomplish anything he wanted. As a parent I realize that the most frightening thought is that you will die and your children will not be able to take care of themselves. I know that we all go through a period of stark raving fear that tends to start about a week before birth and extends (from information my parents have provided) sometime until either you die or lose your mind. Dr. Keller, this evening when you get a break, sit down with a photograph of your son and know that from all evidence we have, you did an excellent job. Alex has exceeded the expectations. He is an excellent firefighter, EMT, and I see no reason why he will not become an excellent physician. He also became something that I prize more highly than any commendation listed above. Most importantly Alex was a very good friend, which is very difficult to find in these days. I know you are busy, but I wanted to take just a moment to let you know what an incredible individual you had raised. Your son has a fantastic future ahead of him, thank you for all you did to make him who he is today. I look forward with great anticipation for his future accomplishments and stand ready to offer my help if he needs it. Small round hollow blade, pressed into the skin around the mole, then a pair of forceps to pull the mole up and a pair of surgical scissors to snip them loose....a stich or two later it was done.... all were tested and none had issues.... procedure was accomplished with the topical application of a freeze agent to deaden the immediate area. last edited: 5/17/07 7:52:14 AM” 7:48:33 AM 5/17/07 “CRAP....the Copy function on this computer.... Here is the method referred to for heat removal ![]() The other was a letter to a friend of mine whose son just graduated.” 7:51:50 AM 5/17/07 “Had three of them removed from my face. No problems and you can't tell unless I showed you where they use to be.” 7:54:49 AM 5/17/07
