Yeah I think the appropriate place for him is Canada.....(LOL).

LOL...just screwin with you Sarge...I know Ron is clean as the Driven snow..but you gotta admit some of his followers make the Rossparrot crowd look rather mild.

Sure, but I've also seen the crowds for other candidates. Especially the Dem crowds - they're downright evil. If you're ever depressed, I highly recommend you stay away from a Democratic rally.

In four years and you're back looking to do something to get this country out of the mess it's in, you'll remember the Ron Paul signs and how you could've gotten us out of the Empire Management Disaster before it is too late.

Carter wasn't interested in securing the border.

Carter wasn't interested in ceasing "talks" with terrorist nations.

Carter wasn't interested in lowering both spending, and taxes.

Carter wasn't interested in giving states their power back.

Carter wasn't interested in the Constitution.

Reagan did a great job of building even more worthless government only surpassed by the Scrub the great department Creator. Lower taxes and borrow - that's all these idiots know. For once, listen to Sarge.

Back to Carter, in 1980, I voted for John Anderson and his National Unity Party, not for Carter or Raygun.

Carter wasn't interested in securing the border. - Sarge

Neither is Ron Paul. With his vision of a small, neutered military and non-intervention (read: isolation when global trade collapses), he'd wait until a threat is on our doorstep to do anything.

Carter wasn't interested in ceasing "talks" with terrorist nations. - Sarge

Neither is Ron Paul. He wants to apologize, remove any military deployments and be nice and trade with them. Because as we ALL know that countries that don't have military bases in the ME don't get hit by terrorists. LOL

Ron Paul - Wrong on Foreign Policy.

It still cracks me up thinking back to that debate where the other Repub candidates were laughing at his loony ideas (and rightly so) and made hime look like the absolute doofus he is.

How you can support him when you disagree with his foreign policy ideas is noncongruent.

Mutt, I get the feeling you just don't pay any attention whatsoever to Ron Paul. You keep demonstrating you have no idea what you're talking about. You've become a lib. Your hatred of him has blinded you to reality.

This election is showing who the real "party" people are here at trailtalk, and who picks candidates based on principle.

I don't hate him. He does have some good ideas, but foreign policy is NOT one of them.

I know you want his words to mean something else, and we've gone around on that before, but in the end, I believe he means what he says, and anyone concerned at all with global geopolitics can see his fairy tale for what it is.

Foreign policy is the main issue you've demonstrated you don't get what he's about.

You never did demonstrate a knowledge of the difference between isolationism and non-interventionism. You use those words interchangeably. They're not the same thing. Non-interventionism is a VERY conservative ideal. Your lib is showing. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were non-interventionists.

You've said they're the same thing, but even wiki says right on it they are different.

Isolationism is not to be confused with the non-interventionist philosophy - wikipedia

(that's on there for people like you)

I don't think Ron Paul is an isolationist PER Se, but his plan does evidence a Total absense of an understanding of the threat we are facing.

The Islamos are winning Europe one idiot law at a time. Eventually we WILL see an Islamist state there.

If we pull back from the World. What protects our citizens who travel abroad? What protects our interests? And most importantly is there ANYONE who truly believes we can make our borders "impervious" and still maintain our national identity?

Guys people get HOOKERS into Maximum Security Prisons. What makes you think the islamos can't sneak in just enough of SOMETHING (heck they can buy it here) that will kill Americans?

With the Sheep mentality I am certain even 100 dead would mean new restrictions on FREEDOM for our Security (LOL)

In that statement, I'm not saying he would do something other than what he says, per your accusation.

I was saying that if he was able to do what he says, a defacto outcome would come to pass that would be quite different than his fairy tale theory.

I'll accept your apology for misattributing me in a newly created "Mutt, I apologize" fuego thread.

Message from Ron (2/8/08)

Whoa! What a year this has been. And what achievements we have had. If I may quote Trotsky of all people, this Revolution is permanent. It will not end at the Republican convention. It will not end in November. It will not end until we have won the great battle on which we have embarked. Not because of me, but because of you. Millions of Americans -- and friends in many other countries -- have dedicated themselves to the principles of liberty: to free enterprise, limited government, sound money, no income tax, and peace. We will not falter so long as there is one restriction on our persons, our property, our civil liberties. How much I owe you. I can never possibly repay your generous donations, hard work, whole-hearted dedication and love of freedom. How blessed I am to be associated with you. Carol, of course, sends her love as well.

Let me tell you my thoughts. With Romney gone, the chances of a brokered convention are nearly zero. But that does not affect my determination to fight on, in every caucus and primary remaining, and at the convention for our ideas, with just as many delegates as I can get. But with so many primaries and caucuses now over, we do not now need so big a national campaign staff, and so I am making it leaner and tighter. Of course, I am committed to fighting for our ideas within the Republican party, so there will be no third party run. I do not denigrate third parties -- just the opposite, and I have long worked to remove the ballot-access restrictions on them. But I am a Republican, and I will remain a Republican.

I also have another priority. I have constituents in my home district that I must serve. I cannot and will not let them down. And I have another battle I must face here as well. If I were to lose the primary for my congressional seat, all our opponents would react with glee, and pretend it was a rejection of our ideas. I cannot and will not let that happen.

In the presidential race and the congressional race, I need your support, as always. And I have plans to continue fighting for our ideas in politics and education that I will share with you when I can, for I will need you at my side. In the meantime, onward and upward! The neocons, the warmongers, the socialists, the advocates of inflation will be hearing much from you and me.

Sincerely,

Ron

DWR-Driving While Republican LOL
Enthusiastic GOP Teen to Fight Citations

OWATONNA, Minn. — An 18-year-old Republican's enthusiasm for presidential hopeful Ron Paul could cost him more than $550.

Cody Hauer has been cited four times in one week for displaying a 13-inch-by-40-inch "Ron Paul Revolution" decal in the rear window of his car. The problem is that such decals are illegal if they obstruct the driver's view.

"I support Ron Paul, the city police department doesn't," he said. "They gave me a DWR - driving while Republican."

Owatonna Police Chief Shaun LaDue said his officers followed the law.

"The political aspect of this doesn't enter into the equation at all," LaDue said. "It's very clear in state statute that you cannot have anything that obstructs the driver's vision."

Besides being in violation of the law, Hauer showed disrespect toward the officer during each traffic stop, LaDue said. "He talks himself into a citation each time," LaDue said.

Hauer said he'll argue in court that the law violates his First Amendment right to free speech.

"To be honest, I'm probably not going to win, but I'm going to go down fighting," he said
