Private schools spend about 30-50% less than public schools per student on average ... and yet ... the students do better overall.

In my wife's school, they spend no more than 40% of what the public schools spend per student - yet their seniors are in the top 3% for SAT scores in the United States.

Many of the kids are troubled kids with learning disabilities. My wife has 3 in her class of about 18, yet they outperform public school students by far.

No football team. No swimming pool. Small class sizes (adds to the cost).

You know there is a CRITICAL government report that we are required to send into Washington 4 times a year....I have been changing crap on it for the past 15 years. That is 15 years of altering the form, putting in stuff that to the casual observer would be a RED FLAG...and I have YET to be called to clarify.

Government schools are factories that turn out robots more interested in spewing information than actually developing an understanding of it.

I remember in College we had an instructor (in a humanities class) who spent the first week making insulting comments about our surnames...some were pure racist. Then he would bring up the most outlandish theories (LOL lot like the libbies on this site) and challenge us to defeat him in the arena of Ideas.

The best was the time he began referring to Eisenhower and the US military as "vicious mass murderers" because of their unwarranted intereferenece in a conflict (namely the European stuff that had been going on since the Roman times)call World War II.

We all left the class seething with anger. Granted he was a Colonel (real one too) so we had to be able to debate him using references from our text books and the library.
