the rafting was quite a thrill, as we did it in the middle of a raging thunderstorm with sirens going off as we were splashing around in the water doing our team-building exercises

went under a few waterfalls, and i really got to test out the water-resistant capabilities of my camera. never had a problem with it, and it got drenched. pictures upcoming”

I am very proud of you anyway!!! It's takes real guts to go to another country and do what you are doing. I know, you don't think I'm serious.

many aspects are great, but i do miss lots of things about home, ESPECIALLY tt hikes. i wish it didnt have to be for an entire year.

“well, this day is starting off crap. got up at 5am so i could pack and be out of town by a decent hour, hoping to get to jiri-san national park by mid-morning. well, as usual, i dicked around for 2 or 3 hours before leaving the apt. on the cab ride to the bus station, i realized i needed some more cash, so i hit the atm at the bus station. well, i tried to anyway. my card was fracked up somehow, so i had to wait until 930 for the bank to open so that it could get fixed. got it fixed with no problem (except for the fact that i accidentally requested about 10x as much money as i had thought i did). unfortuneately, the next bus to jiri-san was at 940, and it left a little early and left me stranded til the next bus, at 1010. so here i sit, at a little internet thingy, with anothe 20 minutes to kill.
