Delaware Water Gap
Hello,

I'm headed to Ricket's Glen in PA this Memorial day weekend and was thinking of heading over to the Delaware Water Gap for a day. I have a homemade wooden canoe that I don't want to scratch up. Can anyone recommend a scenic part of the river that hopefully won't be too shallow? I heard people have made a canoe camping trip out of this place, so if anyone has done that, tell me about that too.

Yea, summer!!!

Thanks

South of Milford to the gap is a good stretch, fewer riffles, deeper water, some nice backcountry campsites on islands.

Just south of the Gap is foul rift.

May want to avoid that in your scratchless canoe.
