Delaware Water Gap “Hello, I'm headed to Ricket's Glen in PA this Memorial day weekend and was thinking of heading over to the Delaware Water Gap for a day. I have a homemade wooden canoe that I don't want to scratch up. Can anyone recommend a scenic part of the river that hopefully won't be too shallow? I heard people have made a canoe camping trip out of this place, so if anyone has done that, tell me about that too. Yea, summer!!! Thanks” 7:22:05 PM 5/22/07 “i suggest heading futher north to the upper river. it is deeper or you can hold off and join us for the trip June 1-3 irate pirates take on the del River” 1:52:24 AM 5/23/07 “South of Milford to the gap is a good stretch, fewer riffles, deeper water, some nice backcountry campsites on islands.” 7:52:52 AM 5/23/07 “Just south of the Gap is foul rift. May want to avoid that in your scratchless canoe.” 8:50:31 AM 5/23/07
