A woman had suffered a bad back injury. As a result she had to sleep in a special bed and even the presence of the family poodle hurt her meaning even her kids couldn't climb into bed at night.

In court the attorney, attempting to establish damage asks," And how bad has the injury effected you?"

The woman answers," Since the injury I have not been able to sleep with my husband or ANYONE." (meaning the kids, dog etc...)

It was cool...we got a recess while the judge restored order.

“joking aside. i have had a lot of fave trips. like waking up early and seeing the Eagle hunt for his morning meal. made me cry (stop laughin)

there is not one trip that I have gone on that at some point I didnt cry. sometimes it is just breath taking. ok except for the evil pine barrens. i cried for a different reason. either cry or kill someoen. hate the Barrens!!”

“(1) Dozing off in the afternoon sun on the shore of Waterton Lake at Goat Haunt Ranger Station (Glacier NP) and opening my eyes just in time to see the Bald Eagle swoop down to the water and go for a fish - he missed but it was superb.

(2) Two weekends ago climbing the Northwest Gully of Flattop Mtn in Rocky Mtn NP with my son (15) following me up the slope on his first couloir climb - reaching the summit and turning around to watch him take the last 6 or so steps to reach the top of the 55 degree slope. Awesome!”

“The famed FTMA hike in SC years ago. Went up there in the fall. My hiking bud got a migrane the first day and we had to do some major work to get him out.

Sat around with fine cigars Sat night. Then Sunday as we were driving out we come up on the leaves changing....WOW. beautiful”

“Damascus Va is a beautiful town too. The campsite was perfect, the weather great.
The crew was the best and most fun- kinda ties with the fun crew at Mammoth Cave this spring, only there wasn't any bellydancing that time.”

“I was backpacking a lake trail in southern Ohio. It was August and hotter than the hinges of hell. I found a nice little pine grove to camp in and had camp made before dusk. I was sitting on a log in nothing but my boxers reading a book. As dusk fell I kept hearing this high pitched squeaking and from the corner of my eye I kept seeing something flitting about in the pines.

I thought they were bats but as I sat and payed closer attention I found that I was in the middle of a flying squirrel get together. I sat for an hour as darkness fell watching them glide about.”

“My other favorite experience was in the Quetico in Canada near Pickerel lake. We had walked a portage to a pool below some falls and had no luck with the fish. It was nearing dusk and I was watching the sun set over the river. I turned towards up river to begin walking back when I heard a splash. I turned around to see the biggest bull moose I had ever seen (at least 60" rack) swimming the river as the sun set behind him. While I couldn't get the shot on film that snap shot will forever be in bedded in my mind.”

besides that it really depends, my one and so far only west coast hike in the Sierra Mountains was my favorite scenic trip so far. The views are still no substiute for the super cool people on the east coast thou.”

like I said, the scenery over there is georgous, and for sure memorable, but the hikes on the east coast for some reason are stuck in my mind much more vivid.”

Falling asleep in the makeshift shelter of a tiny grotto of the Black Hills as a violent thunderstorm dropped two inches of hail - then being awakened by the clap of a lightening bolt as it struck a nearby tree.”
