Thank you
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I want to thank you all for all that you have done for our freedom and to protect our way of life. I never served but my dad served in the Navy in the Korean War. I could never understand what it is like to be in a combat situation and being away from your family, friends, and way of life for so long but my thoughts and prayers go out for you. Finally, I want to thank all of the fallen that have given it all for our freedom, only two people have offered their life for us; the American soilder and Jesus.

I'll tell you it's a little horrifying to watch aircraft leave the flight deck armed to the teeth and come back empty. I can't imagine what it's like being on the ground actually in the thick of combat.

Every generation of my family has served with myself being the only one to serve in a time of peace. I was lucky.

I try to make it a policy to thank our young people that have chosen to serve whenever I speak with them. I tend to carry Memorial Day with me throughout the year.

Thank you to the people who have been willing to fight and sometimes die for the freedom we enjoy in this country.
