pennsylvania trail ?

“I am heading to pennsylvania tomorrow for a kayak trip. But I am not meeting everyone till Fri. So I am looking for an overnighter near Dingmans Ferry or Smithfield Beach or near the area. The only problem is I will have my kayak on the car and would rather not leave it and go to far on a trail. So I guess I am looking for a place to camp at a trail head. any ides?”

“Mapleleaf go a little farther west to Promised Land State Park. It's not too far from Dingmans. You can camp right on the lake and do some paddling. There's also about 50 miles of trails in and around park.

“There are 3 campsites in Delaware State Forest that are free, but you need to get a permit and it looks like you can do this via email or by calling. Any one of these campsites would be close to Dingmans. The only one I have seen for myself is Camp site # O1- Owego and I don’t think you would be bothered by people there.

The district offices will only be able to process requests between the hours of 8am-4pm, Monday - Thursday, and 8am-Noon, Friday.

conk i sent a request for a permit for myself for tomorrow and then another one for the group on Fri. that would be super sweet to get a free spot for Fri! I can get there and plant my butt and hold the site till everyone comes fri night.
